The Procedure Involved in Getting New Dentures
One of the first steps in the process involves having an impression made of your existing teeth. After that, your dentist will begin to extract your teeth (if extractions are necessary), a few at a time, allowing time for your gums to heal between visits to the dentist’s office. Once all extractions are complete and your gums have healed sufficiently, your dentist will fit you with your new set of dentures, making sure that they fit as snugly and as comfortably as possible.
Your new set of dentures will be extremely durable. They should last for many, many years, although they will most likely need to be adjusted at some point in the future.
